PRINTS:

What is Giclée Print?

A giclée is a term for fine art digital prints that are produced with specialized inkjet printers providing a very high accuracy of colour reproduction, extended range of printable colours & longevity of prints. All prints are made locally in Kelowna BC with master art photographer, Yuri at Digital Perfections, using next gen archival materials that are resistant to humidity & able to stand the test of time (tested 100+ years under normal conditions).

What is A Canvas Print?

Canvas prints look just like original paintings! Printed on acid free canvas, hand stretched & wrapped on 1.5” deep mounting bars. Coated with a museum grade UV Varnish + comes with a hanging wire on the back. No framing required! We recommend these for larger spaces. Shop Canvas Prints here.

What is a Paper Print?

Paper prints are printed on archival acid free paper with a smooth matte finish. Paper prints up to 10x16” will have a 1.5” white border so add 3” to each dimension (ie 10x16” = 13x19”). Print size above 10x16” will have a 2” white border so add 4” to each dimension (ie 12x16” = 16x20”). Frames are required and not included due to individualized framing preferences. For affordable local framing recommendations we have you covered! Paper Prints are versatile for all kinds of spaces & make great gifts! Shop Paper Prints here.

ORIGNALS:

How do I get an Original?

Jaxon paints a limited number of originals every year in all shapes and sizes! Oftentimes for charitable causes, Jaxon’s originals move quickly! The best way to be notified of new painting releases will be through JJ’s Collectors Club. An exclusive mailing list for Jaxon’s art collectors, who have first dibs at securing new work before released to public. Shop Originals here.

What Medium/Materials do you use?

Jaxon primarily works with acrylics. The ideas for his larger paintings often come from smaller plein air studies with gouache or watercolour. Smaller studies often occur on panels which should be framed. Some of Jaxon’s prints are also digital creations he makes from scratch while traveling. The bulk of Jaxon’s studio work is using acrylics on a gallery wrapped canvas or wood panel on 1.5” deep mounting/stretcher bars that allow for easy hanging on the wall (without a frame). All paintings are dated, documented & coated with UV Varnish for protection.

Are you accepting new commissions?

Due to demand, Jaxon is only able to accept a select number of commissions every year. Please send us an email with your ideas, timeline & references.

Licensing?

With Jaxon’s vibrant colours catching eyes, he offers licensing for a select number of works/projects. Please send us an email with your ideas to see if he can help!

GENERAL:

Where can I view your work?

Originals and Prints can all be found online. Each week Jaxon has a select time where he is available to meet clients at his office for in person viewings.

Do you offer classes or paint nights?

Stay tuned Jaxon is in the process of building a painting course! Due to spatial/venue limitations Jaxon does not regularly host in person classes but has done a few paint nights for charity events over the years! Check out his Projects Page for more details!

What’s your favourite colour?

Jaxon’s love them all. His fashion style is a “summer” and he has a bias to blue as it reminds him of the water & sunny sky! He also loves hot pink & dreams of working with energizing oranges & yellows! Red is powerful (woah!) & green can be an adventure to work with! Purple is guaranteed to be hiding in every single painting. No matter what the colour is, figuring out how to make it fun, express happiness & sing in perfect harmony is one of Jaxon’s greatest joys.
