Inspiration:

“Champagne Sunset”- A well known phenomena for those who live & play in the Monashee Mountains.

Defined by the feeling of the last run. Top of the T-bar. A sea of clouds. An unforgettable sunset. Still getting fresh tracks & nothing but light, fluffy Okanagan Champagne Powder at Big White Ski Resort!

The inspiration for this painting came from an epic day skiing on New Years eve. A time of year where the shorter days make for spectacular colours! The 24x30 original acrylic painting on wood panel was created in December 2022 as a thank you for a generous $2,500 donation from Grant & Wendy Delcourt to support the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA) & Jaxon’s Swinging with the Stars Campaign (event on Feb 25, 2023).
